Drawing VISUALIZATION
OUTLET ideation sketches
Canvas:
Ballpoint pens, Copic marker, white Prisma colored pencil
This exercise pushed me to idealize the design and functionality of a pencil sharpener. The first sketch explores different designs and the warping that occurs from the plastic's translucency. The other two sketches focus on enhancing the design through artistic mediums to communicate the pencil sharpener's features further. The grip-like texture design on either side is portrayed through the markings from a ballpoint pen and white Prisma colored pencils. Additionally, the use of soft pastels conveys the reflective nature of the plastic.

Pencil sharpener ideation sketches
Canvas:
Ballpoint pens, Copic marker, white Prisma colored pencil, soft pastels
This exercise pushed me to idealize the design and functionality of a pencil sharpener. The first sketch (1) explores different designs and the warping that occurs from the plastic's translucency. The other two sketches (2&3) focus on enhancing the design through artistic mediums to communicate the pencil sharpener's features further. The grip-like texture design on either side is portrayed through the markings from a ballpoint pen and a white Prisma colored pencil. Additionally, the use of soft pastels (2) conveys the reflective nature of the plastic.

hand mixer ideation sketches
Canvas:
Ballpoint pens, Copic marker, white Prisma colored pencil, soft pastels
This exercise explored the revision process regarding the principle of design. The repetitive element enabled me to make quick decisions in the visual aesthetic of this product. After drafting many versions, I focused on one and added shadows and reflections to bring the idea to life. The second ideation investigates functionality featuring a foldable handle and detachable blade to create a more compact structure.

ROBOT ideation sketches
Canvas:
Ballpoint pens, Copic marker, white Prisma colored pencil, soft pastels
The robots served as a practice to translate three-dimensional artistic choices regarding design through two-dimensional and three-dimensional routes. After rendering the geometry of the robots, the addition of shadows and reflections offered another dimension to the sketches. The first sketch focused on a body-like structure using greyscale as the color palette, whereas the second sketch explored a robot-like vehicle utilizing color and varied line weights to enhance the level of detail.
