Project 3: Label Concepts

 

I created a pitch where I presented multiple ideas (six labels) to a hypothetical client. My product involved a carbonated beverage that enhances one's focus. Regarding the ingredients blueberries and Pomegranates are flavors that are scientifically known to elevate one's cognitive functions.

Symbols 

• Added a bright and electric outline to further highlight the flavor 

• Added a glow to allude to the idea of blurry to clear just like your mind before and after drinking this soda

Title

• Added the bright and electric inner outline to emphasize the perfect O, relating to the perfect focus and clear mind one will have after consuming this beverage

1st Row

• Features pattern

  • Integrated a brick like structure in the background that alludes to the carbonation of the soda with this abstract layering of circles (bubbles) 

• Gradient from light to dark on top to add depth

  • Figure/ground relationship: the fruit clearly separates from the background 

• Title 

  • features a fluid element emulating the fluidity of the soda 

 

2nd Row

• Features color fields

  • Embraced the fluidity of the soda by adding a blocky gradient of color placed on the bottom going from dark to light 

• Gradient from dark to light on top to add depth

  • Figure/ground relationship: the fruit clearly separates from the background 

• Title features a low opacity bar straight across to allow for a breathe/pause of organic elements within the design

 

3rd Row

• Features integrating an image 

  • I wanted to include my favorite medium photography into this design

  • Filled a clear container with soda and photographed the bubbles

• Combining designs 

  •  Similarity: Combined the fluid heading from the first iteration with the color blocking 

• Gradient 

  • Adding another color gradient in front of the photograph to create more harmony with the color palette and still attain that figure/ground relationship
